FAQ – Open Mic Night

What time is signup?

• The signup sheet is available at 8:30pm every Monday night, and the open mic begins at 9pm.

Can I sign up online?

• For the sake of fairness, all signups are in person. For additional questions, email moderndaymidas@gmail.com.

How many songs do we perform?

• Depending on the length of the list, each performer is usually allotted 2 songs or 10 minutes.

Is comedy allowed?

• This is a music only mic.

Can I have backing tracks?

• Backing tracks are permitted and can be played through an iPhone lightning cable or USB3 cable.

Is there a backline or house instrument?

• There is a house guitar belonging to the host that can be used.

Is cursing okay on the mic?

• The stage is an area of free expression, no need to censor lyrics.
