Donna Wick and the team of WICKed Publicity introduce an exciting new singing competition destined to take Austin by storm. “Texas Star – Pure Texas. Pure Talent.” goes just beyond the voice and searches for the whole package with a Winner’s Package that rewards serious contenders.After the preliminary rounds and semi-finals, 10 contestants will be showcased — nine contestants will be selected by celebrity judges and one “wildcard” selected by the audience — to advance towards the finals. The winner of Texas Star: Austin will receive $5,000 cash, 4-hours recording time at Mathew Knowles’ World Music Entertainment in Houston/Home of Destiny’s Child, CD cover art, professional photography and a year’s worth of PR representation.The competition will begin with three preliminary rounds, October 15, 22 & 29, at Speakeasy, 412 Congress Avenue. The Semi-Finals will be held at the same location on November 5 and Finals on November 19.Audiences are guaranteed an evening of “Pure Texas.
